"My wife and I started taking our daughter to ECFE classes when she was just a few months old. The education and opportunity to
interact with other parents in the same situation were tremendous. Now, with three young children, the parenting skills I
learned in class have been invaluable. After immediately benefiting from the program, I joined the District 196 ECFS Advisory
Council. My service on the Council was some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. I became intimately aware of the positive impact these programs have on all
the families in our community and the loss we will all experience if they continue to be cut. I’m excited to be a part of the Foundation and continue my efforts to advocate the
funding and growth of ECFS.”
